REX'S EXES



The Guild Theatreworks had to slow down after "Sandy" but now they are back in full swing. REX’S EXES by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooton, is a sequel to last season’s THE RED VELVET CAKE WAR. This time the cousins of Sweetgum, Texas, are out to win the "Yellow Rose of Texas Award" for the most outstanding new business in the state which includes a visit from The First Lady of Texas. The twists and turns that ensue should make for a fun evening of laughter!

This full production will be presented at the Robert Anstett Cultural Arts Center, 515 Herbertsville Road, Brick, on April 12, 13 &14, and April 20&21. April 14 and 21 are Sunday matinees and will be presented at 2 PM. The rest are evening shows and they start at 7 PM. The requested donation is $5 and you must register by calling 732-262-1006. The Old Tyme Radio Show


The Guild Theatreworks SONGS OF HOPE, a concert to directly benefit those affected by Hurricane Sandy on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 7 PM at the Brick Civic Center has been regretfully canceled. 

We will be presenting The Olde Tyme Radio Show on Wednesday, March 20th at 7:00 at The Brick Civic Center, 270 Chambersbridge Rd, Brick, NJ. Admission is free but reservations must be made by calling the Recreation Department at 732-262-1006.

The Guild will be performing programs and routines from the Golden Age of Radio, including George Burns and Gracie Allen, Abbott and Costello, Blondie, and other well know actors and formats. The shows are from the original recordings and will presented in the style of a radio broadcasting studio. So harken back to the good old days which was the foundation of many of the countries first televisions series.

Performers will include Jeri Georger, Kelly Lindstrom, Gail Sheehan, Corey Crawford, Sal Ottaviano, Janet Lynn Spahr, Cathy Murphy, Diane Hand, and many other audience favorites.
