Harvey, was written by Mary Chase. Harvey is the classic story of Elwood P. Dowd and his best friend Harvey...an invisible six foot tall rabbit. When his sister Vera and niece Myrtle grow increasingly embarrassed by Elwood and his interactions with his invisible friend, Vera resorts to drastic measures.
She takes Elwood to Chumley's Rest to have him committed. Between Vera's rambling explanation and Elwood's charming personality a mix up occurs and Vera is committed instead!
When the error is discovered the hunt is on for Elwood and then Dr. Chumley who gets lost in the search. When everyone returns will the doctors make Harvey go away for good or could it be that having Harvey around isn't as bad as it seems?
